Light. Truth. Love. Power. All words are synonymous
in ways and perhaps the reason why that Light is a common symbol of many holidays. Lights and candles are used year round in many homes but none are consumed as much as when they symbolize truth and intimacy; intimate romantic dinners where the proposal of marriage may take place, the lighting of one candle in a marriage ceremony, the light of candles or battery -powered lights carried by carollers or the flame of one candle as it is passed to another in either a Christmas or New Year's Eve celebration.
At Hannukah, the "Festival of lights"
the Hanukiah or Hanukkah menorrah is lit for eight days.

Advent Candles are lit weekly before Christmas Day.
And to MANY the world over, no matter what religious doctrine or belief;
a Christmas Tree is lit with the symbol of
"The Star of Bethlehem" on top.
Light brings "revealing of truth" to the darkness and warmth to the cold.
During this holiday season, whichever one you may observe or enjoy;
consider sharing the light that is in you and brighten up the world a little.
This LITTLE light of mine. A sunday school song but do those children REALIZE the power of "their light?" Do you? GO...be a light in someone's life today. SHINE!
